Enough is Enough

ALEXANDRIA, VA –  Knowing your budget is one thing. Sticking to it is another. We all start off with good intention when we create our budgets but there will always be a temptation that comes along every now and then.  Knowing when to take advantage of a sale and when to pass is key. When deciding on how to maximize your spending, take an inventory of what you presently have and of what you presently need.

We recently experienced this dilemma. Harris Teeter had their cheese on sale for the buy 2 and get 3 free but we were nicely stocked and did not need to b y any extra cheese at this time so we opted to not take advantage of the sale. This in turn saved us $5-10 which we were able to use on other deals that made more sense to take advantage of.

So just remember to weigh all your options prior to going  shopping to maximize your budget!
