SHIRLINGTON, VA – This is one of the first places we have went to as a “dine in” experience. With the location we were pleasantly surprised with the ease of finding parking that was close by. When we walked in we were equally enthused that there was plenty of seating, there was an acceptable noise level and it was properly lit.
Our bar tender seemed to be a bit antsy when we first got there but we did eventually order something and then he seemed to mellow out. There wasn’t that much of a selection for beers and most of them were their own brews which made for an interesting. The beers that we tried, overall, had a good flavor. While we waited for the food, we were served complimentary warm soft pretzels. The food was quickly prepared and brought to us. The only negative we had with the food was that it was slightly greasy towards the end since sitting out.
Overall, this is a really nice “hang out” bar and a great place just to chill out on the weekends. The beers are currently priced at $5.75 each which is not bad for being served at a bar! It is conveniently located right off I-395 in Northern VA between Alexandria and Arlington.
