How It Works!

The categories listed represent the major categories that you'll encounter in your cash flow. Some places needing special attention are:

Holiday spending: include any holidays, birthdays, gifts throughout the year.
Car Repairs: Aside from gas & oil, most cars average between $85 and $135 per month in repairs with American and European cars on the higher end of this scale. If you fail to account for this, your cash flow calculations will be inaccurate over time.

Things that are often overlooked that can be included in the "OTHER 1 or 2" Categories:

Hobbies - cars, guns, fishing, dolls, extreme shopping
Drugs & alchohol - yes, if they're consistently used, included them somewhere! Cigarettes
Support payments to family (alimony / child support / kids in college)
Consistent support or giving to others (charity, friends, loans, expenses paid for others)
Travel

Once you have accurately entered information, click on the button UPDATE YOUR BUDGET Button (which is rendered on different parts of your page depending on your browser) and you'll see the calculation and the 'remainder' or 'what's left over.' Know this is number is key.
